In its latest feature additions, Instagram tells us that it is placing all its chips on Reels. Every video posted on the platform that is less than 15 minutes will be shared as a Reel.
Video sharing will continue as usual with the new change coming into effect soon. In a blog post, the company said it was adding more features to make it easier to express creative ideas using a smartphone. As Instagram and Meta compete with TikTok in the reels segment, reels will be a key weapon for growth.
To make it more appealing to the user, and to make it more popular than TikTok, more features and tools are needed. Furthermore, Instagram has also added remixing tools to Stories so that users can enhance their visuals, especially when working together with other creators.
Additionally, users will be able to remix public photos, which raises privacy concerns for users whose photos will be used without their permission.
