One of the apps getting some love is the Task Manager. Although the app’s function remains the same, Microsoft is changing its appearance. In Windows 11, the Task Manager looks like the older version, but Microsoft has now applied the Fluent Design theme. The layout has been changed, with tabs neatly arranged in the left column. The app now looks more like File Explorer in Windows, bringing more focus to the data. If you’re not that tech-savvy with Windows, the Task Manager now makes it easy to fiddle with the running processes and force an app to close if it’s frozen.
The efficiency mode, however, allows you to limit system resources for use by specific programs. Especially on mobile devices, you can de-prioritise your demanding tasks to help your battery life.
