Universal Credit

The London School of Emerging Technology provides a low-income scholarship or grant to the students whose family’s annual income qualifies for the Universal Credit system. Our educational institute is determined to support such individuals by offering £300 scholarships so that they can become employable without worrying about financial barriers. Unlike any student loan, this extra funding doesn’t have to be repaid. You will receive the funding while getting admission to your preferred course. Eligible students have to provide sufficient evidence that you or your family comes under the Universal Credit system. We aim to improve employability in the country by supporting low-income groups with student grants and world-class education.

UK Universal Credit

Universal Credit gives you payments to support your living costs. This is given to the individuals who are low on income or out of work. Student income can affect the amount of Universal Credit you receive. This credit is usually paid once a month and is based on the student’s circumstances during a month. This period is known as the ‘assessment period’. For each assessment period during which you are enrolled in the course, any student income you receive will be deducted from your Universal Credit. The amount is taken from the actual student income that you will receive that month, less a set amount for expenses.

Eligibility Criteria for Universal Credit

  • You have low income or don’t have any income source
  • You are 18 or older
  • You are below State Pension age (or your partner is)
  • You and your partner have £16,000 or less in savings
