Purpose

This administrative policy establishes guidelines and procedures for recruiting, verifying, and managing staff, including employees and self-employed personnel. It aims to ensure that all staff are suitably qualified and experienced to meet LSET’s standards.

Staff Recruitment and Appointment Procedures

Recruitment Policy

  • Ensure all staff, whether employees or self-employed, are recruited based on qualifications, experience, and suitability for the role.
  • Develop a signed performance service level agreement (SLA) for all self-employed staff.

Pre-Appointment Checks

  • Qualifications: All staff qualifications must be formally checked, verified, and recorded prior to appointment.
  • Medical Fitness: LSET may request that the applicant undergo a comprehensive medical examination, though it is not a legal requirement. This request is optional and based on the role’s demands.

Performance Service Level Agreement for Self-Employed Staff

  • Develop a comprehensive SLA outlining performance expectations, deliverables, and evaluation criteria.
  • Ensure the SLA is signed by both LSET and the self-employed individual before commencement of duties.

  • Approval and Implementation
    • This policy is approved by the CEO and is effective from 20-April-2024.
    • All employees, contractors, and stakeholders are required to comply with this policy.
